Muses Prize was founded in October 2004 by the founder to recognize the achievements of humans in the fields of arts.
The founder conceived the idea of giving prizes several years ago but it was only in the year 2004 that the founder started to build a website to realize his ideas.
The founder observed that there are few poetry books in the book market top list. There were many poetry journals and poetry e-zines but the founder realized that no one is giving a poetry book rating.
The founder decided to offer his services to review poetry books to Filipino-Americans in various Filipino newsgroups. Then, he joined a poetry and book reviewers newsgroup to offer his services of reviewing poetry books for a fee of 15$. To encourage submission of poetrybooks, the founder decided to give a prize without cash to poets like in the ancient days of Greece........
Thus, the project Muses Prize was born.

2. To bridge the gap of different cultures around th world through arts such as poetry.
3. To promote a culture of peace on planet earth through the arts.
