| Editor's Message Dear Poetry lovers, This is the July 2005 issue of Muses Review online. This July 2005 issue was released late to the public because the author have to transfer many files to this new website from the old website and my computer is not working well for many months now. In this issue, we announced the medalists of the "1st Muses Prize- Ecxellence in Printed Poem 2004". Eighteen (18) persons will be receiving medals. The trophyists (trophy winners) of the 1st Muses Prize-Poetry is announced in the September 2005 issue. It was a difficult contest considering there were many good poems out of the more than 200 printed poems screened by the editor. Eighteen (18) poets participated in the 1st Muses Prize for Poetry. Not bad for a first time contest. Also in this issue, nine (9) poets are featured and fourteen (14) poems are reviewed. Appearing for the first time in Muses Review are Oneil A. Williams from Florida, Larry Pontius from Florida, Gary Lehmann from New York and Richard Walker from Pennsylvania.. Two books are reviewed by the editor - Joseph Farley's poetrybook Suckers and Rhina Espaillat's poetrybook The Shadow I Dress In.. The featured poet craft interview for July is Laura Stamps from South Carolina. I contributed a poem entitled "Cowboys On the Range" in the Editor's Poem Section. I hope you enjoy this issue even though it is late. Very truly yours, Andrew Angus Editor Muses Review . |
