Good News: Poetry Contest is extended to Dec 1, 2006 due to lack of sponsors.
The "Muses Review" and the "World Year of Physics 2005" in celebration of Einstein's Miracle Year in 1905 when he published his three papers that revolutionize physics....  presents a poetry contest entitled...........  "Albert Einstein's Miraculous Year 100th Anniversary  Poetry Contest 2005" 

Duration of the poetry contest:  Dec 1, 2004 to Dec1. , 2006

Total Cash Prize: $2,005

Major Theme:  "Einstein: Life of a Genius" 

Minor Themes:
I. Life of Einstein
a. boyhood,  b. patent clerk, c. theoretical physicist, d. Nobel Prize recipient
e. life in Europe, f. life in USA, g. life as a Jew, h. as a violinist,  i. as a family man
j. life in Princeton Univ, k. miracle year of 1905

Rules:
1. Reading/entry fee: 0
2.  Send poems to:  Muses Review-Einstein Poem Contest

3.  Style: metered/rhyme verse or free verse. 
4. No. of lines: 80 lines or less. 
5. You can submit a maximum of 3 poems with one theme or three different themes. 
6. Include your name and mailing address, email address. 
7. Submit short biography 
8. Submit 1-3 poems and short bio by snail mail and  email to editor at: musesreview@yahoo.com 
9. Deadlines of submission of poems for the minor themes:
I.  March 31, 2006.
II. June 30, 2006
III. Sept 30, 2006
IV. Dec  1, 2006
10. Shortlist of winners will be announced on
Dec 15, 2006 
11. The top nine winners will be announced on
December 30, 2006. 
12. Best Poem: Cash Prize of $1,000 and poem published at Muses Review. 
13. Details of the contest will be updated at: www.musesreview.org
14. Submitted Poems will not be returned but the copyright belongs to the poet. 
15. The poem should be written in English language. 
16. The top twenty poems will be published at Muses Review, Fall edition, but cash prize is reserve only for the top nine winners. 
17. Other poems not in the Top 20 will be published in later issues of Muses Review. 
18. Choose one theme or three themes for each poem you want to submit.  
19. Selected 50 poems will be published in an anthology. 
20. The decision of the judge or panel is final.
21. The awarding ceremonies will be  on January 2007 but the exact venue will be announced later.  22. Muses Review will feature some of the submitted poems during the contest duration from Dec 1, 2004 to Dec 1, 2006 and after the contest duration. 
23. The poem contest starts on December 1, 2004 and ends on December 1, 2006 for 20 months. 
24. This is an international poetry contest open to physicists and non-physicists alike.
