Poem Contest - 1st
The deadline is extended to December 1, 2006.
Major Theme: "To save the planet earth is to save mankind."
Minor Themes:
1. Dangers of proliferation of uranium processing technology
2. Dangers of atomic bomb
3. Threat of nuclear war
3. Beauty of nature
4. World Peace
Prize:
1st Place: $50 and Poetrybook.
2nd Place: Poetry book from: Randy L. Redmond (book sponsor)
3rd Place: Poetry book from: Katie Davis Steward (book sponsor)
Deadline of submission: Dec 1, 2006.
General Rules:
1. No entry fee/no reading fee
2. Style: metered/rhyme verse or free verse.
3. No. of lines: 40 lines and below.
4. You can submit a maximum of 3 poems with one theme or three different themes.
5. Include your name and contact address, email address.
6. Submit short biography
7. Submit poems and short bio by email to editor at: musesreview@yahoo.com
8. Deadline of submission of 1-3 poems is on December 1, 2006.
9.Best Poem: Cash Prize $50 and poem published at Muses Review.
10. Details of the contest will be updated at: www.musesreview.org
11.Poems will not be returned but the copyright belongs to the poet.
12. The poem should be written in English language.
13. The top ten poems will be published at Muses Review but cash prize is reserve only for the top winner.
14. The top ten and the winner will be announced on Jan 31, 2007.
15. The top fifteen poems will be published on Winter issue of Muses Review.
16. Other poems not in the Top 15 will be published in later issues.
17. Choose one theme or different themes for the maximum three poems you want to submit.
18. Selected 50 poems will be published in an anthology.
19. The top ten winners will receive 1 free anthology.
20. The judge can declare no winners if the entries are very few or very poor.
