TEARS OF THE BEAST (Based on Beauty and The Beast) Staring in the mirror, the beast starts to cry A curse he brought upon himself The heart can be felt, but ugliness seen with the eye And beauty not bought through his wealth The dance of souls,he can waltz in his dreams With the lady so fair,of his choice But when he awakens,it's to the sound of her screams As he whispers I love you in a demonic voice There are broken roses laying around her bed The gifts he had given her with love But the vision of their happiness was all in his head For escape is all she thinks of So tears of a man roll down furry cheeks As a monster finds the meaning of pain Releases her chains,as neither one speaks And he watches his love leave in the rain JWBradford©2005 --------------------------- Editor's Rating: 5 laurels out of 5 laurels |
